
Autoimmune Disease
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis is part of the large group of Autoimmune Diseases.
A very large part of my healing journey has been following the Autoimmune Protocol.
Inflammation is the key component to every single Autoimmune Disease and getting this calmed down is fundamental to healing, managing your condition and kicking it (kindly and lovingly) into remission.
It's been trial and error and lots of weird and wonderful kitchen creations as I navigated getting to grips with the AIP and although I have thrown many a tantrum over the fact that my body couldn't tolerate tomatoes* (cue crying) my NOMATO sauce has become a happy substitute. I've adapted the well known saying as my mantra:
"NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS HEALTHY FEELS"
However, managing or putting your autoimmune disease into remission is not just about food. Stress management, movement, environment and exposure to toxins are all equally as important.
