Let's get this straight - right out of the gate.
Diets don't work.
I don't advocate them. I also don't advocate getting on the sad step all of the time (aka the dreaded scales) to gauge how your overall health and wellbeing is. It's dangerous territory and there are many other ways to work out how your body is doing. Hint. Look in the mirror, check in with your self-esteem or see how your clothes are fitting...
Sure. If you have a serious health condition looming and you need to make some drastic changes quickly - an extreme jump start such as intermittent fasting or a low carb 'diet' can get you out of the danger zone quickly. However, diets don't fix what's going on in your head. Working out why you've put weight on - why you're overeating or just eating the wrong things is the ONLY way to get off the diet wheel and create long lasting changes.
If you are not prepared to make lifetime long changes - then just don't go through the exhausting process of doing it. It's as simple as that.
A healthy weight and body composition is also a natural result and bi-product of optimum health management - consistently applied.
So. Ready to throw those old behaviours in the bin that are no longer serving you?
